SALISBURY, Pa. - Clyde R. Hutzell, 83, of 101 Park Ave., Salisbury, died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998,at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, as a result of an auto-pedestrian accident earlier in the day.Born March 1, 1914, in Springs, Pa., he was a son of the late Joe and Bertha (Cuschlag) Hutzell.He also was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Shunk) Hutzell, April 30, 1994; and a son, Paul, Oct. 13, 1996.

He is survived by a daughter-in-law, R. Elaine Hutzell, Salisbury; a sister, Marion Poorbaugh,Mentor, Ohio; a grandson, Jody Hutzell, Salisbury; and a great-grandson, Paul Edward Hutzell.He was a member of Saint John's United Church of Christ, and was a retired dragline operator for Sanner Coal Company.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, on Sunday from 7 to 9p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted on Tuesday at thefuneral home at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Interment will be in SalisburyCemetery.
