Beatrice Marie Beal


Beatrice Marie Beal, 94, formerly of Boynton, Pa., died Thursday, April 29, 2004, at the home of her daughter in Meyersdale. 

Born May 24, 1909 in Boynton, she was a daughter of the late James and Ellen (Holler) Critchfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Beal, Nov. 13, 1992, and three brothers, Claude, Kenneth and Paul Critchfield. 

Surviving are her daughter, Joanne R. Murray and husband, William M., Meyersdale; her grandson, Brent Murray and wife, Christi, Mt. Holly, N.J.; two great granddaughters, Leah and Erin Murray; one sister, Doretta Jones and husband, Robert, Rockwood, Pa.; and two sisters-in-law, Gladys Critchfield, Grantsville, Md. and Helen Critchfield, Boynton. 

Graduated from Salisbury High School and California (Pa.) University with a teaching degree. Taught at Boynton and Crossroads Schools prior to her marriage. Member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and Queen Esther Bible Class. 

Friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy, Salisbury, Pa., where services will be conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Randy Haulk officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Heart Association
